Teacher Efficacy and its Effect on International Students

Yukti Widge, Niagara University

Description

Research has found that though international students find it hard to adjust to their new surroundings, a teacher’s intervention can help facilitate stronger feelings of belonging and better academic performance. This study will address whether teachers at Niagara University are efficacious and do facilitate learning and belonging in their international students. The survey was conducted online with a questionnaire fabricated for the purposes of this study. There were 6 respondents to the survey but because of incomplete surveys, the data from only 4 could be used. Data analysis showed a strong correlation between the variables, however because of the small sample size, one cannot draw strong conclusions.
