Director, CMST Institute: Dr. Osman Yasar

The Computational Math Science and Technology (CMST) Institute was formed in 2003 through funding from a National Science Foundation Math and Science Partnership grant. The original aim of the Institute was to provide middle and high school science and math teachers from the Rochester City and Brighton Central School Districts with training in an integrated curriculum that also incorporated elements of computational modeling. Through that initial grant, the Institute was able to provide training to 250 teachers.

The Institute has continued its original mission with funding from the National Science Foundation to accomplish similar goals with different target populations. Please see the CMST Institute's website for updates on the latest projects and activities.

The materials presented here represent some of the lesson plans that were developed by the CMST Institute participants over the years. Please contact Dr. Leigh Little if you have any questions or comments about the lesson plans.
