The students use the TI-84 to create graphs and tables for several power models (y = ax2 , y = ax3 …etc) to learn the general shape of the curves and identify the patterns in the tables. In addition, they compare and contrast these tables and graphs to linear and exponential models. Then, students draw conclusions about the symbolic rules and the patterns found in the graphs and tables.
