The College at Brockport is pleased to report that 52 of the original 72 paintings in its collection by acclaimed poet and painter E.E. Cummings have been "adopted" for restoration. Through the generosity of individuals and organizations alike, and the continued support and attention of WXXI, National Public Radio and The Wall Street Journal, these fragile paintings are being restored and preserved under the skilled attention of art conservators James and Patricia Hamm, and shared with scholars and art lovers for generations.
Watch the WXXI-TV interview, read The Wall Street Journal article, and listen to a piece on National Public Radio about this rare collection and the efforts to have it restored by The College at Brockport.
Review the E. E. Cummings collection and find out how to adopt a painting of your own. Notecards with E.E. Cummings images are also available. The proceeds of these purchases directly support restoration efforts.
