Title of Resolution
The Faculty Senate at Brockport request from Vice President Crandall at the earliest opportunity a statement on the characteristics of recipients of Awards for Teaching Excellence during the past two award series. The statement should go beyond published guidelines to serve as a frame of reference for faculty aspiring to such awards, and as a guide for other faculty wishing to improve their teaching skills. It is the sense of the Faculty Senate at Brockport that such a statement would be in line with the basic purposes of the Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. Returned to Faculty Senate by President Albert W. Brown pending recommendations of characteristics of successful candidates.
